The Nutritional Healing Formula & 3 Common Mistakes

Published by Bonnie on

Effective nutritional healing only happens with a strong commitment to the proper formula. I have spoken with countless parents who attempted all-natural approaches without seeing satisfactory results. Sadly, they end up ditching the nutritional approach altogether rather than evaluating what they could have done differently.

Sound like you?

There are actually three critical components to successful nutritional healing programs.

If any of these key parts are ignored, we guarantee you will not be satisfied. That is why we’ve put this information together — for you!

If you’ve failed at finding all-natural solutions in the past, then you will love this information!

Nutritional Healing

Common Mistake #1: The Wrong Supplements in Wrong Amounts

This is the most common mistake people make when trying a nutritional approach. They hear about a single product and think this will “fix” them, and when it doesn’t, they trash the whole idea.

To be sure, it is rare (if not impossible) that you will find a one-product-fixes-all solution. The human body processes are so complex and interconnected that it usually takes a number of things working together to heal the body.

Let me speak first to the idea of using the wrong supplements. This could be in reference to either using a lower-grade of vitamin or, assuming you found the highest-quality company, choosing the wrong nutrient to address a certain issue. (For example, choosing vitamin E over a B-complex to address energy or stress issues will result in failure.)

We do a ton of research each month for families just like yours, helping them to find the right formulas for their children. But occasionally families will not follow our guidance, choosing instead to lower the amounts so they can “stretch” their vitamin supply. Result? Failure.

They think by doing this that they are giving the nutritional approach a “trial run”. “I’ll see if we notice a difference with just two of these instead of ten.” And of course, they don’t.

Choosing the right supplements in the right amounts is absolutely crucial to getting results.

Common Mistake #2: Not Enough Time

TimeHow many times have you looked for something that would be a “quick fix” to your problem?  Who wouldn’t want to solve an issue quickly if they could? We all would love that. Our culture feeds this expectation, but the reality is that our bodies take time to heal.

Granted there are various timeframes for different issues. For example, a common cold that begins to be addressed the same day it hits, could easily be gone in another 24 hours. However, if there is a health issue that has been allowed to develop for many months or years, this will take longer to turn around.

If you can be assured that you have the right supplements, it may take some trial-and-error time finding the right amounts.

Thankfully, children’s bodies can heal much quicker than parents, and we can see results faster. However, consistency and perseverance are still key when using the nutritional healing approach.

Common Mistake #3: Not Enough Diet Changes

Usually when a parent is looking for a natural nutritional approach to address an aspect of their child’s health, they are already mindful of their diet choices. However, it can happen that this gets overlooked or needs to be tweaked, so I thought it should be included.

There are definitely food choices that can either encourage or negate your efforts to promote healing in the body. An overall healthy diet is a great goal to strive for regardless of the health issue, and some health issues can dictate even further diet changes.

For example, say you are wanting to address issues with ADHD naturally. You add some great necessary supplements to your child’s diet and even cut back on some sugars. However, you still provide some fast food meals (loaded with preservatives, added sugars, etc) each week. These poor food choices being allowed into the mix will not help further the healing process.

Try to be as consistent as possible with your child’s food choices, and help them understand why it’s so important that they cooperate with these changes.

How Can You Find A Nutritional Healing Formula That Works?

As you can see, there is a lot of room for error when trying to find the proper amounts of diet changes, supplemental nutrients, and time.

If you are like most parents, you want to see changes “yesterday.” And, really, the only way to close the gap on finding an effective combination is through the use of a personal health coach.

Bonnie, I couldn’t agree more with this statement: “Effective nutritional healing only happens with a strong commitment to the proper formula”. I know so many people who just want to “try” something out for a very short period of time, if they do it at all, and then wonder what happened. Commitment is absolutely important.

Yes, Sigrid, it’s hard to watch some families give up, especially when I know that it really can work. It’s heart-wrenching sometimes. But the success stories make it all worthwhile. Thanks for sharing!

Very interesting reading this Bonnie. I think with most diets even adult ones we often try to take the shortcuts when we know we need to take the whole approach to achieve the required results.

Excellent Article Bonnie!
I think point #2. could be one of the biggest mistakes when trying to heal naturally. We have been so conditioned by the “medical realm” that we think medicine should fix us quick. The problem is that don’t realize that “Tylenol” just masks the problem, it doesn’t heal it.

Natural healing takes time. Sometimes a LONG TIME. But it is O, So Worth it. We must hang in there. Not trying to find healing from a headcold. But to have healthier bodies that are much more able to heal themselves the way God designed. But if we continually resort to chemical medicines, because our minds have been trained to think that way, then we will not be able to keep on the path of nutrional healing.

about Mistake #1. I think we need good guidance and counsel concerning what supplements, herbs, and produce are good for what condition, and the amounts they should be taken. That’s why your blog is SO important. To help educate us to the write amounts of the right product.

Well, this post got me going, but I better stop before I write an entire blog post. 🙂

Great article!!

PS. Perhaps the reason I like to write so much, is because i love fresh content.

Martin, thanks so much for your thoughtful comment! I couldn’t agree with you more about the time issue. Natural healing really takes a commitment to the process. Even though it may take time to find the right solution for someone’s specific health situation, I’ve never heard anyone say that they regretted doing it!
All the best to you, Martin!

Bonnie, I totally agree with you! Fortunately I was raised by parents who did not buy the traditional medical establishment’s terms….my husband however, still thinks that medicine ‘fixes’ your health problem. I am finally beginning to make him see that problems that took decades to develop are not going to be ‘fixed’ overnight. Thanks for keeping this issue in the public eye.
