The Kindergarten Evolution

Published by Bonnie on

Sunday night: In a nervous, quivering voice, “I don’t want to go to school…Is it gonna take long?”

Monday night: With large tears and weeping, “I don’t want to go back to school tomorrow. It takes too long… I just want to stay home with you…I just want to play.”

Tuesday night: With concern but no tears, “Why does school have to take so long? I don’t want to walk to class by myself. I want you to come with me…”

Wednesday night: In a curious tone, “Only two more days of school before the weekend?”

Thursday morning: “Daddy, can you walk me to school this morning? I want to walk to class by myself though.”

Thursday night: “Mommy, I think I like school now.”

Friday night: Sad and upset, “There’s no school tomorrow? Why?! I want to go to school!”

Week #1 is now behind us, and we have survived with grace!
