Video: The Truth About Soy

Published by Bonnie on

With so much misinformation on the internet today, the truth about soy is often hidden from view. Is soy beneficial or isn’t it? The urban myths and anti-soy websites certainly have a one-sided agenda, but what do the clinical studies themselves say?

Since I am no scientist, I thought it would be helpful to share this short video by Dr. Steve Chaney.

Dr. Chaney received his B.S. degree in Chemistry from Duke University and his Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry from UCLA.  He is currently Professor Emeritus at the University of North Carolina. At the time of his retirement he held the title of Distinguished Professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics and the Department of Nutrition at the University of North Carolina where he taught biochemistry and nutrition to first year medical and dental students for 40 years.

In this video, Dr. Chaney helps to dispel the urban myths surrounding soy and its impact on breast cancer, thyroid function, male sexuality, prostate cancer, and inflammation.

This short practical video is packed with well-documented accurate research and is well worth your time.

I love how Dr. Chaney sums up the truths about soy by saying, “There is no good reason to avoid it when you actually look at the studies.” He highlights many of these studies in this video, and I believe you’ll appreciate his balanced perspective.
